More wedding bells in DC

Our first leg of R&R was straight back to DC, our first time back since we flew out of there almost two years ago. We got back just in time for Michelle and Eric's wedding, five years in the waiting and we weren't about to miss it. They had an outstanding place, the Women's National Democratic Club, or something, right next to our hotel. Their good friend Reid did the honors administering the vows, which turned out pretty fantastic. Better to have someone you know doing the service than just some guy you rented. Lots of dinner and dancing and then out afterwards until 2:00 am. Good thing we were jetlagged in a good way. DC, unfortunately, was freakin' cold. Snowed that day.

Wedding Bells in Singapore

Before we took off for the U.S. we made a quick stop in Singapore for Keith and Jannie's wedding. Jannie's Singaporean and Keith's American, but both live up in Bangkok with us. Jannie's posse of girls came down from Bangkok and Hong Kong plus a couple hundred other folks from around the globe. We've been to Singapore a number of times now so nothing new down there, but we love that city. Dung got to do some shopping, I got to walk around in the park and see some history. And Keith and Jannie finally got hitched!

0400

It's 3am back in Bangkok and we're wide awake. We thought we were going to avoid jetlag after this trip, we woke up on time this morning and did a full day of work no problem. We went to bed early, about 9:30, but figured we were exhausted enough from lack of sleep on the flight over we'd easily sleep a full night. didn't happen. I'm downloading pictures, Dung's making breakfast. Ah, well.
