Bangkok 100 Rock

Saturday night we trooped off to Lakeside at Muang Thong Thani for the Bangkok 100 Rock Festival. It was a two-day concert over the weekend, but we opted just for the first day which had Oasis and Franz Ferdinand playing. The second day had Snow Patrol on deck but couldn't justify the extra cash to see just them. The crowd was about half farang, half Thai, and pretty enthused. We worked our way up to fairly close to the stage, but finally part way through Oasis we bailed out and headed to the rear. Too many sweaty bodies packed in too close. Dung wanted to see Oasis but I was psyched to see Franz, one of the hipper bands on tour these days. Didn't disappoint.

Skype

No i'm not a telemarketer :) We downloaded Skype and picked up some headphones with a mike today, now we're all set up to make phone calls over the Internet. This is the future, perfect quality phone calls made anywhere in the world for next to nothing. Calling another person who has Skype is free, calling someone in the U.S. on a regular number is just two cents per minute. Calling Vietnam is more expensive, about 32 cents/minute, but that's still better than calling direct. So download Skype from www.skype.com and give us a call! Our Skype address is NanaBKK (our neighborhood here).
